Mike Thorup owns and operates THORCO CONSTRUCTORS. In 2007 THORUP
BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION, our family owned business owned and operated by
Kenneth and Douglas Thorup for forty+ years closed its doors. THORUP BROTHERS
was one of the states longest living General Construction firms. We had the oldest
account at Geneva Rock at the time we closed the doors. THORCO
CONSTRUCTORS  was created to fill the void when Dad retired. I am proud to have
worked with the family business. We made many friends in business that THORCO
will continue to honor.
In the mid 80's Mike Thorup became the superintendent on his first project, which
was at Gunnison Prison, in Gunnison, Utah. We were the General contractor on the
prison for the prison site utilities and site work. We also built the kitchen and
maintenance building at the prison that Mike was the superintendent on.

The partial list of projects that Mike has been a superintendent on include:
            - Gunnison Prison Kitchen and Maintenance building

Mike has worked in the family business exclusively all of his life. From the time he
was in Junior High School when mom would pick him up and take him to work, and in
High School he filled eight of his High School requirements in the Granite School
Districts Vocational Work Release Program in his Junior and Senior years. His other
courses were filled with mechanical and architectural drafting, Math and English. His
life's work has been truly dedicated to the Construction Industry.
